A Sal Glesser design that is inspired by Fred Perrin creations, the Swick is a personal defense knife with incredible uniquity. With a Perrin-inspired index finger hole, you've got a fixed blade that you can get tons of leverage behind, making it great for tearing open boxes as well. When gripping with your finger through the hole, you have complete control over the knife, and your thumb rests comfortably on a curved section of jimping on the spine. The Swick series of knives are constructed with a full-tang, pistol grip style design, and are given a multitude of options for carrying. The blades are an awesome wharncliffe style, being super versatile for everyday use. The Spyderco Swick 5, compared to the "5" model, has a larger finger hole (1.03" diameter). These guys are finished off with G-10 handle scales with concealed internal pins. The boltaron sheath is custom molded and comes with a clip attachment, while the knife also comes with a breakaway ball chain to convert it into a neck knife, as it is intended to be. This model is defined by its fully serrated blade.
