AUTOMATIC KNIVES
Automatic knives are described as having a spring mechanism which is operated by either a slide or a button. These knives are usually side opening, but automatic knives can also be described as OTFs or Out The Front Knives. The difference is how the blade is deployed; OTFs have a blade that comes out the front and side opening knives have a blade that swings out from the handle.
