Built from the Model 310 design and its Levitator locking mechanism. The 3100 uses the same mechanism and adds a little “spring” to the action. This makes a very functional little knife that comes in handy. And makes for a great conversation piece with friends too. The handle scales are polished stainless steel for a classic styling. A slight but firm squeeze on the outside scale raises the locking pin so the blade can open. Closing the knife is done simply by pressing on the scale and closing the blade into the skeletonized handles.
At a mere 1 ounce, you will hardly notice the BENCHMITE in the pocket, but when it comes time to cut with it, the Model 3100 will out perform knives of bigger size and weight, due to it’s thinness of edge and geometry of the blade itself.
