Engages with the push of a button! Buck’s Folding Hunter was created in 1963 when Al Buck decided that a revolutionary folding lock-blade knife was needed by outdoorsmen who wanted a sturdy knife but did not want to carry a long fixed-blade knife. He was right and the result proved to be the key to the company’s future. One of America’s best-selling knives is now available as an automatic! Of course without hesitation, Buck created the 112 Auto which is also easily deployed with the push of a button, readying the 3" 420HC blade quickly and efficiently. Featuring the same classic Macassar Ebony Dymondwood handles and brass bolsters as the 112 folder the Auto 112 will easily become a new collectible for those avid 110 and 112 fans. Made in the USA. **Please Note: The sale of the 110 Auto is subject to restriction by the laws of many states and territories in the United States and by Federal law. Federal law also restricts the interstate shipment of these knives except to certain customers. The federal restrictions are described in 18 U.S.C. § 1716(9) (as amended) and 15 U.S.C. §§ 1242, 1243 and 1244 (as amended).

    Sweet little knife

Posted by Mac Mintaka on 5th Jan 2019

This review got long! It's both about the knife and the customer service here at Sawyer River.

I got the knife quickly after ordering and it came with a basic but well made leather case. I really like this knife! Of course it's lighter than the 110 and that size and weight difference threw me. But almost immediately the 112 won me over with its whisper quick opening (after opening it about 10 times because at first it was stiff), classic good looks, and solid feel.

And it's sharp out of the box. I don't know from grinds so I can't tell you if it's convex or oblong or whatever terms people use. I can tell you that I bled after doing the shaving of the arm hair test. I inadvertently scrapped some skin off with the hair. The knife was so sharp I didn't even notice. Play safe kids!

Now for the customer service. Unfortunately when I did a quick visual inspection of the edge I found a small but visually apparent notch in the blade. Also the sheath's snap button scratches the knife as it slides in and out.

I wrote customer service and told them about the issues and they are in the process of sending me another knife after they receive this one back. Trey in customer service has really gone above and beyond in response time and in concrete help. Thanks Trey!

    A+ Would recommend
