Nowadays, many original "grandad" knives have been updated and modernized to an automatic version. Here, we have the original Buck 112 Folding Ranger in a push button auto, still featuring Bucks strong lockback mechanism. With a push of a recessed but uber-comfortable button, your 3" blade comes flying out of the handle, ready for hard-use. To close it back up, a push of the backlock lets you smoothly put the blade back in place, while you can feel the strong spring fighting back against you. Once shut, the blade isn't going anywhere until you tell it to. Still heavy and beefy, these guys are set up to be used on the everyday basis, making it a great daily driver pocket knife. 

This Elite model of the Buck 112 Ranger, 0112BKSA, has been severely upgraded from the classic Ebony-handled 112s. Now, the scales are made with a textured G-10, these ones coming black, while this guy features nickel silver bolsters to better contrast the scales. The blade has also seen an improvement, being made on this model with CPM S30V stainless steel. As typical, this model comes with a black genuine leather sheath.
