The first and original Spring-Assisted AXIS lock pocket knife, the Benchmade 580 Barrage is a fast-opening folder that operates with ambidextrous dual thumb studs, With the AXIS bar lock, righties and lefties can enjoy the Barrage all the same. All it takes to deploy your 3.6" blade is a flick of either of the studs, as the blade pivots just about as quick as a typical side-opening automatic. With an incorporated spine-side safety switch for locking while open or closed, the Barrage is known to have one of the strongest spring-assist lock-ups on the market. Valox handle scales are shaped simply, but grooves are put into all the right places, giving each of your fingers a place to rest during use. Add on some slash-texturing, and you've got a knife with great grip and superb functionality. Rounded off with a reversible tip-up pocket clip, these guys are a great fir for anyone. 

This base model of the Benchmade Barrage, 580, comes with a matte satin 154CM drop point blade and black handle scales. The pocket clip and hardware, other than the AXIs lock, are also finished black.
