The Warren Osborne designed Benchmade 940 stands as one of the most beloved and most carried pocket knives in the world. One of the most one-hand friendly folders on the market, the Osborne operates on Benchmades famed AXIS bar-lock and opens easily with ambidextrous dual thumb studs, meaning righties and lefties can all enjoy this amazing piece of work. With a thin blade stock, made with Bohler M390 stainless steel, these guys are made to be super slicey while still having shaving/carving capabilities, and the modified reverse tanto blade shapes gives you a strong tip for piercing. All of this combined makes the Osborne one of the most versatile knives around. The handle on these models are fairly simple-shaped, but contouring all around makes it incredibly ergonomic, while minimalistic jimping on the spine and near the finger guard give you a spot for your index and thumb to rest during use. A widened part of the base of the spine also acts as a nice thumb-stop for when you need extra leverage.
