The LMF II Infantry by Gerber is nothing to scoff at. Over 10.5" overall, these guys certainly are not discreet. Originally, they were designed as an emergency tool for military aircrew to be prepared for the off-chance that the aircraft goes down. They are strong enough to get through an aircraft fuselage, and a butt cap serves as a pommel or even a hammer. Additionally, the three holes throughout the handle can be used with paracord to strap it to something long to make it into a spear. This may be a bit overkill, but is a neat capability of this knife. 

The near 4.9" blade fits snuggly into a fire retardant ballistic nylon sheath that itself has an abundance of features. Being MOLLE compatible, you can strap this guy to just about anything. Add on two leg straps, and the sheathing system becomes even more versatile. To polish it off, these guys are created with a built-in blade sharpener, allowing you to easily touch your edge up while in the field. This sharpener is the black slot within the hardened section of the sheath. Clearly, the Gerber LMF II Infantry is ready to tackle just about any task that comes its way. 

This model of the LMF, 22-01463, comes with a black coated blade made of 420HC steel. The blade has been given partial serrations, making it capable of nearly anything. The glass-filled nylon handle scales are given a TPV Overmold that is colored a coyote brown. The sheath as well is a coyote tan.
