Spyderco – the thumb hole company – has been around since the 70’s, and while they were originally known for their impressive and widely-loved Tri-Angle Sharpmaker, the Colorado-based company now produces a wide range of unique and dependable knives that you’ll love to carry every day. Since their first folding knife, the C01 Worker, in 1981, Spyderco has defined innovation in the knife industry, paving the way for new concepts with many of their models over the years. From using high-grade (and often hard to find on the mainstream market) materials, Spyderco is beloved by many. Many of their models have an odd design at first sight, but their differences are what make them such a powerful and reliable daily carry. The Tasman Salt 2 is awesome. The rugged hawkbill blade shape and lightweight FRN scales, coupled with the highly corrosion-resistant H-1 steel make this knife absolutely ideal if you’re around water throughout the day and things that need to be shredded to pieces. The curved blade resembles a claw, tearing through anything in its path, assisted by its high saber grind profile and a mean fully serrated edge. Simply put: the Tasman Salt 2 is a mean knife in a small package. With an ultra-reliable lockback mechanism, a 4-position reversible pocket clip, and a Bi-Directional Texturing on the handle give this thing everything it needs to be an excellent EDC for everybody.
