The Dirac and Dirac Delta models by Microtech differ from their main-line knives in that the action switch is placed on the face of the handle, rather than the spine. This often makes the blade easier to deploy and retract, especially for those who have limited strength in their thumb, or find that the spine-slide digs into the skin of their thumb a bit much. While it may seem like a small alteration to the design of their knives, we think that it makes a sizeable difference, and that the Dirac line by Microtech is one of their best when it comes to OTFs. 

The Dirac Delta is a beast. Similar in size to the Combat Troodon, but ever so slightly smaller 0.25" in total length, these guys are an incredible choice for a larger out the front carry. The handle chassis' on these guys have also been given a bit more contouring than their main-line counterparts, allowing for a better grip and better feel in the hand during use. Jimping is still machined into four different spots on the spines of the handle, placed in the perfect spots for extra leverage and comfort for your fingers. 

The Microtech Dirac Delta was already a great choice as an everyday carry/user OTF knife. Like most of the Microtech line, the Dirac Delta has a few improvements. Add the Crud Cutter System that kicks debris from the slide button. Then they replaced their proprietary screws with torx screws for ease of maintenance. This model relies on an earthy theme with the Burnt Bronze Cerakote blade and hardware to the anodized Champagne Gold 6061-T6 aluminum handle chassis, and you have an incredibly well-made pocketknife ready for consistent use out of the box. The tip-down pocket clip is in Burnt Bronze; you can’t get much more user friendly.
