The result of a collaboration between Microtech and Sebastijan Berenji of Borka Blades, the SBD is a dagger fixed blade that is sure to leave a lasting impression. With a super wide double-edged blade, this thing will remind you of something out of a zombie hunting series. While a fixed dagger may not always seem super practical, once you get your hands on a Microtech/Borka SBD, you’ll quickly realize how hard it is to put back down. Milled G-10 scales over a full-tang construction give you a rugged tool with super grippability.  

The SBD is based on the SBK, which comes with an upswept Persian style blade. Swab the “K” for a “D” and you have yourself one of the coolest fixed Daggers on the planet. The handle is constructed so that two finger guards jut out inauspiciously, keeping your digits safe from slipping up to the super sharp four-beveled blade. It’s clear that the creators of the SBD had functionality in mind, as you can hold the SBD with a multitude of different grips and still find a perfectly placed section of jimping and/or contouring. Three rivets along the length of the handle keep the G-10 scales clamped strongly to the knife itself. Lastly, the butt of the handle features a ring for lanyards and such, and the center of the blade features 7 weight-removing holes within a blood groove. To make this guy the perfect daily carry dagger, it comes outfitted with a fitted kydex sheath with a tip-down pocket clip attachment, finished with a black carbon fiber print. If you’re looking for a double-edged fixed blade to either show off to your friends or to help you tackle your cutting tasks throughout the day, I’m not sure if you can get much better than the Microtech & Borka/Sebastijan Berenji collab SBD.

This Microtech/Borka SBD, part of their Signature Series, has been given a bit of an upgrade over its main-line counterpart. Rather than G-10 handle scales, this SBD is equipped with carbon fiber scales, giving this model a bit more flash and a smoother feeling in your hand. Additionally, the hardware screws are finished bronzed rather than a standard blasting. To top it all off, this signature series model has been given a gorgeous black DLC coated blade with what looks like a bit of a stonewash underneath. Of all of the fixed blade daggers I’ve come across, this has got to be one of the best looking overall. The sheath coming with this model is the black carbon fiber print kydex style, coming with an attached tip-down clip.
