Modeled after the original SOCOM folder, the fixed Microtech SOCOM Alpha is a long full-tang fixed blade ready for all of your zombie-hunting adventures. The handles on these guys are contoured to perfection, as you’ll find yourself losing the knife in your hand during use. Finger grooves on either side of the handle give your pointer a place to rest, while aggressive spine-side jimping from the butt of the handle all the way to the first ~1/2” of the blade create a large space for your thumb to sit and to give you all the leverage you’ll ever need over whatever it is you’re cutting. Three large rivet screws attach the scales to the full-tang construction of this guy, and a lanyard hole at the butt give you an extra carrying option.

The blade on the SOCOM Alpha is nearly 5.5” long, while only just over an inch in width, giving you a slim and slender profiled blade. If you’re looking for a reliable fixed blade that has been a proven workhorse as well as an impressive talking piece, why do you not own a Microtech SOCOM Alpha yet? This Signature Series model of the Microtech SOCOM Alpha fixed blade is all decked out. With upgraded carbon fiber handle scales equipped with bronzed hardware, this guy certainly looks flashier than its main-line brothers. Still created with Bohler M390 stainless steel, in a clip point blade style, this bug fixed blade is absolutely as practical as it is show-ey. Speaking of the blade, this SOCOM Alpha blade has been coated with a black DLC coating, and has been given partial serrations running about 1/3 of the blade. The carbon fiber print Kydex sheath has been given bronzed hardware as well, while the belt attachment piece is adjustable for both vertical and horizontal carry. This knife is surely one to behold and doubles as a solid, yet flashy, daily user fixed blade, and as an incredible mantle-piece.
